Tulsi has spiritual significance and is said to possess heavenly characteristics in Ayurveda as well. Tulsi ji marries Shaligram on the Devotthan Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha in the Kartik month. Other names for this Ekadashi are Prabodhini Ekadashi and Dev Uthani Ekadashi. It’s thought that Mother Tulsi used to go by the name Vrinda and belonged to the demon family. Since she was a little child, Vrinda has worshipped the Lord Vishnu. Later, Vrinda married Jalandhar, a Rakshak clan member who was born from the ocean.

The most revered plant in Hinduism is tulsi ji. Because of its ties to Lord Vishnu, Tulsi mata ji is highly regarded and worshipped. This Tulsi plant is thought to be the physical manifestation of Tulsi Mata, a devoted follower of Lord Krishna.

Different deities are thought to reside in various locations on the Tulsi plant. Since Tulsi is thought to be a manifestation of Goddess Lakshmi on earth, her worship is performed to bring calm into the home.

इस बात का रखें ध्यान

वैसे तो रोजाना सुबह-शाम तुलसी की पूजा की जाती है, लेकिन रविवार को तुलसी पूजा वर्जित माना गया है। ऐसे में इस दिन न तो तुलसी की पूजा और न ही तुलसी के पौधों में जल चढ़ाएं। साथ ही इस बात का ध्यान रखें कि रविवार को तुलसी की पत्तियों को भी न तोड़ें।

Prabhu Shiva once cast his light into the water. He gave birth to a wonderful boy. This young child later rose to prominence as Jalandhar’s powerful Ashur Raja. Its capital’s name was Jalandhar City.

The son of Daityaraja Kalnemi, Vrinda, was wed to Jalandhar. Maharaksas ruled in Jalandhar. Due of his strength and desire to possess Mata Lakshmi, he battled, but because he was a sea creature, Mata Lakshmi welcomed him as her sibling. After that defeat, he rushed to Mount Kailash in a desperate attempt to locate Prabhudess Parvati.

When Bhagwan Devadhdev assumed the avatar of Shiva and approached Mata Parvati, the goddess instantly recognised him and vanished. When Mata Parvati became enraged, she told Bhagwan Vishnu the entire story. Vrinda, Jalandhar’s wife, was an extremely dedicated person. By the might of his husband’s religion, Jalandhar was neither murdered nor vanquished. Therefore, dissolving Vrinda’s patibrata was crucial to the destruction of Jalandhar.

Because of this, Bhagwan Vishnu assumed the identity of a sadhu and went to the jungle where Vrinda was wandering by herself. Vrinda was alarmed to see that Bhagwan was accompanied by two enigmatic demons. In front of Vrinda, the sadhu ate both of them. Vrinda enquired about her husband Jalandhar, who was at fight with Mahadev on Mount Kailash, after observing his might.

Once more, Prabhu linked Jalandhar’s head to his delusion, but this time, he also inhabited the same body. Vrinda was unaware of this ruse. Vrinda started acting devotedly toward the Prabhu of Jalandhar, upsetting her sattva. Following this, Vrinda’s husband suffered defeat in the Jalandhar War.

When Vrinda learned about all of this Leela, he became furious and vowed to make Bhagwan Vishnu into a cruel rock. Shaligram turned to stone as a result of Vishnu accepting his devotee’s curse. As the universe’s follower turned into stone, the universe became unbalanced. All of the Bhagwan and Mata pleaded to Vrinda to curse Bhagwan Vishnu after seeing this. After cursing Vishnu, Vrinda set himself on fire. The basil plant grew where Vrinda was consumed. O Vrinda, said Bhagwan Vishnu to Vrinda. Due to your Sattva, you have loved me more than Lakshmi. You are now permanently a part of me as Tulsi. Since then, Dev-Uthavani Ekadashi, the first day of the Kartik month, has been observed as Tulsi Vivah. Any person who marries Tulsi in my Shaligram form would achieve great fame both here and after death.

Jalandhar is the name of this land, which belongs to the same Raakshas. The Mohalla Kot Kishanchand neighbourhood is home to the Sati Vrinda temple. There there allegedly was a prehistoric cave here that led directly to Haridwar. All wants are satisfied through a 40-day period of sincere heart worship at the Sati Vrinda Devi temple.

Yama’s messengers are unable to arrive on time at the home when Tulsi is present. When someone is killed by retaining basil and Ganges in their mouths without any water, they are purified of their sins and transported to Vaikuntha Dham. A person achieves moksha by performing the shraddha of his ancestors under the protection of Tulsi and Amla.
