• आरती आरम्भ करने से पूर्व 3 बार शंख बजाएं। शंख को धीमे स्वर से उच्च स्वर की ओर बजाएं ।
• तदोपरान्त आरती आरम्भ करें।
• आरती के समय एक लय में घण्टी बजाएं और लय का ध्यान रखते हुए आरती गाएं।
• आरती गाते समय शब्दों का शुद्ध उच्चारण करें।
• आरती के लिए शुद्ध कपास अथार्त रूई से बनी घी की बत्ती का प्रयोग करें ।
• घी या बत्ती उपलब्ध न होने पर कपूर से भी आरती की जाती है।
• बत्तियाें की संख्या एक, पांच, नौ, ग्यारह या इक्किस रखनी चाहिए।
• आरती संपन्न होने पर जयकारा लगते हुए श्री गणेश जी से मंगलकामना करें।
